“Be the change that you wish to see for the world” said Mahatma Ghandi.
In modern day language that would have probably come out as set an example. Start at home. Start with the self. One of the easiest ways to make a change in the world is to practice the things that we would like to see in those around us.
Why am I thinking about this? Because I just saw An Inconvenient Truth? Because many of the forums that I participate on are discussing whether or not global warming is actually happening? Because I really want that check-out girl at Whole Foods to stay at home when she is sick instead of contaminating my groceries? Or maybe it’s because I want the people who park temporarily in the neighborhood to use only one parking space for their car.
It doesn’t really matter. If I want someone to do something, I have to be willing to do it myself. To take it on as a way of life.
